Calledit
A Slack message becomes a prediction on the record. Ask a question and set a deadline. Calledit locks it at close and waits for the result, then posts who called it, right in the thread. What’s left is the record itself, plus whatever winnings the group agreed on, bragging rights by default.
How it works
Ask
Post a question with /calledit, or right-click a message and choose Make a prediction. No format picker, just the question, an optional reviewer, and the criteria for judging it.
Predict
Enter picks yourself, going round the room, or post to the channel and let anyone reply with their own call. Names resolve against the workspace as they are entered. Anyone can still join in before the deadline, even if they were not in the original call.
Lock
Predictions close automatically at the deadline, or earlier with /calledit lock <id>. Nothing can be added or edited after that.
Settle
The reviewer, or the creator by default, enters the result with evidence. Calledit posts who called it, in the same thread as everything else.

Features
Free-form, not prescriptive
No forced format picker and no pre-set options list. Just a question, a deadline, and criteria for judging it. Picks are free text.
Reviewer and criteria, side by side
An optional independent reviewer and the criteria for judging the call sit side by side when you create it. Leave the reviewer blank and it defaults to you.
Names resolve as you enter them
Proxy picks use Slack's own member picker, so names are always real workspace members, never typos.
Sealed, open, or sealed until result
Predictions default to sealed until close. Switch to open if there is nothing to hide, or sealed until result if you want the reveal to land all at once.
Winnings, bragging rights by default
Every call has a winnings field. Leave it as Bragging rights or set your own. Still never money.
Locked once someone has predicted
The question and deadline can never be edited once a call is posted, there is no edit screen. To change either one, the creator or reviewer cancels it with /calledit cancel <id> and posts a new one.
Visible audit trail
Every call keeps a timestamped log, who predicted what, when, who locked it, who resolved it. It's posted in the thread alongside the final result when the call is settled.
Manual resolution, with evidence
The resolver enters the result and attaches evidence, such as a link, a screenshot, or a quote. Nobody has to take their word for it. This version pulls no numbers automatically.
Join anytime before lock
People not in the original call can still add their own pick, through the modal or /calledit join <id>, right up until it locks.

Setup
Three steps. No configuration file, no admin console.
Install
Click Add to Slack and approve the OAuth screen. A workspace admin may need to approve it, depending on your Slack settings.
Invite the bot
In any channel you want to run calls in, type /invite @Calledit.
Make your first call
Type /calledit, or right-click any message and choose Make a prediction. That is the whole workflow.
FAQ / Contact
What does Calledit store?
The question and prediction text for each call, the entry metadata (creator, reviewer, deadline, status, and ID), the result with any evidence attached to it, and your workspace's OAuth tokens. All of it sits in Postgres. No message content beyond what you turn into a call is stored.
Is this gambling?
No. No money changes hands anywhere in Calledit. Winnings are optional, non-monetary, and agreed by the group beforehand. A Slack status, a meme, or a playlist pick are typical. Calledit records and settles predictions. It is not a betting platform.
Does it work with Enterprise Grid?
Not tested yet. Calledit is built as a standard multi-workspace Slack app. We have not verified it on Enterprise Grid, so we will not claim support.
How do I install it?
Through Slack OAuth: api.called.runciter.app/slack/install.
How do I uninstall it?
Remove the app from your workspace in Slack's App Directory settings, under Manage apps, then Calledit, then Remove. Slack revokes the tokens automatically on removal.
Are there published docs?
This page is the documentation for now. The privacy policy covers what Calledit collects, stores, and shares. For anything neither answers, write to miguel@neuronetix.be.
Security and compliance
All API and OAuth traffic between Slack, this site, and the Calledit backend is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and TLS. Slack OAuth tokens are held server-side only. They are deleted the moment a workspace uninstalls.
Access to production data is limited to Neuronetix. No third-party support team or contractor has standing access.
We hold no formal compliance certification at present, for example SOC 2 or ISO 27001. This section will be updated if that changes.
To report a security issue, email miguel@neuronetix.be. We read every report and aim to acknowledge it within a few business days. There is no bug bounty programme at this time.
